EAVESDROPPINGS

I made this pilot in 2001 with Brendon Connelly, Carmel Howard and Jon Samuel. We made it for Radio 4, but, surprise surprise, it never got commissioned.

The idea was that to re-create those wierd and wonderful converstions that you overhear. If I had heard the conversation in a pub or on the back of a bus, we went to the pub or got on the back of a bus to record the scene. Guerilla Radio. Rather than a sketch show, it was a scene show. Observational, highly naturalistic audio portraits, I think was the sort of phrase we used in the proposal.
