Dominic Frisby Fulham Song | ||||||||||||||||||
This is a song I wrote, or rather re-worded, for Fulham FC, when I had that, sadly, short-lived job as announcer there back in 2004. The idea came out of a conversation I had with my good friend, as Michael Winner would say, Steve Williams. The song now is doomed to obscurity, but imagine if Al Fayed had chosen to perform this at the first game of last season, instead of that ridiculous rap that Keith Allen wrote. I think it could have become a Fulham anthem. Al Fayed might even have stormed it - rather than that embarrassing death - assuming the DJ actually managed to play the track, which in the case of the rap he failed to do. Some of the players have gone now, so some of the song's relevance has gone. But I'm still proud of it, and considering we only had 45 minutes in a studio to make it, I think it's doubly impressive.
